Priya Prakash Varrier’s ‘Sridevi Bungalow’ In Trouble, Boney Kapoor Slaps Legal Notice

Priya Prakash Varrier claimed several hearts with her sensational wink last year. The Malayalam actress rose to fame overnight as the teaser of a song from her debut film Oru Adaar Love went viral on the social media. Since then, she has sportingly been a part of media as well as controversies acing her popularity with the fans time and again.

Priya has once again managed to grab eyeballs, this time for her film which is already under the scanner, titled, Sridevi Bungalow.

The trailer of the film where Priya portrays the role of an actress named Sridevi (which has apparently nothing to do with the Bollywood superstar Sridevi) was launched recently. The trailer of the thriller film shows Priya as a chirpy, graceful actress who is riding high on success in her career. As the story unfolds, the darker side of the glamour world comes to light where the actress is seen fighting loneliness, alcoholism, and depression.

The trailer ends with the actress seen drowning in the bathtub. Ohh, does it remind you of something?

So it did to the late legendary actress Sridevi’s husband, Boney Kapoor! And without any delay, he has slapped a legal notice on the makers of Sridevi Bungalow. Director, Prasanth Mambully has, however, claimed that ‘any resemblance to a real person, living or dead in the film is purely coincidental!’

“We received a legal notice from Mr. Boney Kapoor last week. And we will face it. I want to My film is a suspense thriller. I told him (Boney Kapoor) that Sridevi is a common name. My film’s character also happens to be an actress. We will face it (the legal case),” he told cinestaan.com.
