We Indians often come up with desi jugaads for every problem. Be it wisely using loud music to ward off locusts to creating โQuarantine Tuk-Tukโ to follow social distancing norms, we always find innovative solutions to everyday troubles.
Speaking of which, a twitter user recently shared a video where someone used a pressure cooker for steam inhalation. In what seems to be an alternative method of inhaling steam, a woman places a pressure cooker on the stove with a long pipe and a man then inhales the steam from the lid of another pressure cooker, reports Indian Express.
However, even though it might seem like a creative idea, using the high heat from a pressure cooker like this can pose a lot of danger. Have a look at the entire video:

Even though people appreciated the innovativeness, they cautiously pointed out the dangers of using a pressure cooker like this:

Not recommended as per Disaster Management practices. This pressure steam is not controlled. Please use the store purchased vapouriser.

Ingenious. But no, inhaling vapour will sooth your throat and nasal cavity, but it will not kill Coronavirus. Washing of external body organs with soap and water is still the best way to kill Coronavirus.

Once the virus enters the system, no ant of steaming can kill it.
Only our innate defense mechanism can
