Woman’s Tinder Match Stands By Her Side When She Was Delivering A Baby On Their 4th Date

25-year-old Max Silvy swiped right on 20-year-old Alyssa Hodges on Tinder when she was 6-and-a-half months pregnant. Alyssa didn’t hide the fact that she was pregnant as she wanted to be 100% honest. And Max wouldn’t usually swipe right on a pregnant lady but there was something about Alyssa that drew him to her.

Alyssa lives in Brisbane and Max is a civil worker and hence, has to travel from time to time. Owing to this, the two only had been on 3 dates before Alyssa broke into labour. What’s funny is, she broke into labour the day they were supposed to go on their 4th date!

Here’s what happened:

According to Daily Mail, Max was returning back from a work trip and Alyssa was supposed to pick him up from the airport. But as she went into labour, she texted him, “I’m so sorry, you’ll have to get a taxi. I’m going into labour.”

When Max got her message, he immediately booked a cab and went straight to the hospital. Alyssa’s contractions kept coming and going for a week. It involved multiple trips to the hospital and throughout her journey, Max was with her.

She experienced ‘baby blues’ and later, the entire birthing process took 7 hours. Max was anxious about it, but he didn’t leave her side. He took a week off from work to be there for her.

“He took the week off afterwards when I had no one to help me look after Ollie (the child). We both knew that we liked each other and had strong feelings for each other. But the birth was the peaking point of our relationship, it bonded us. Looking back, I know it was the best decision ever. I’m so glad he was there. Motherhood is a big adjustment for anybody, especially with me being younger. But Max taking a week off from work really helped. I felt alone and Max carried me through that week. Every time I couldn’t do something, Max picked me up. He’s set me up to succeed in motherhood,” Alyssa said.

Alyssa revealed that her mother wasn’t sure about Max and asked her to think her decision through. But now, after seeing what Max has done for her, she gave them her blessings.
