Pooja Bedi’s daughter Aalia Ebrahim is quite the sensation on Instagram, having over 212K followers. The star kid is unafraid to flaunt her well-toned physique and bold fashion sense.
However, some self-appointed “moral police” have not taken too kindly to her skin-show and have slut shamed Aalia.

“There are people who comment and say hurtful things and I would be lying if I said that it doesn’t hurt from time to time.”
Most of the harsher comments seem to have been deleted but the hurt caused by the comments my be harder to erase.
Aalia was not one to usually respond to shamers on her Instagram posts. However, she had had enough and decided to finally respond to all the shamers in a recent interview.
“I read someone saying: ‘Oh! She is not Bollywood ready, she is porn ready.’ I was like, ‘Oh! Just because I wear a bikini, which is what everyone does anyway, how is it that it makes me porn ready and not Bollywood ready? Do you not see Bollywood movies or people wearing bikinis on beaches?”
Just because Aalia was wearing short clothing in her pictures, the “moral police” decided that that was her whole identity.
Pooja Bedi also responded to those slut-shaming her daughter. This is what she had to say.
“A child who has got over 90 per cent in her board exams, who is now studying in one of the premier film institutes in the world, who has won a National award for art and who has got about 210 K followers on Instagram on her own is indeed commendable. Girls like Aalia should be role model for women across the board.”
She is certainly a proud mother, and rightly so.
It’s disappointing to learn that even in 2016, we have these self-appointed “moral police” trying to force their warped sense of righteousness upon every one of us.
We commend Aalia for her strong response and also appreciate Pooja Bedi for being an unwavering support for her daughter.
