Pokémon GO is all the rage in the world right now. Ever since it’s release, it has taken over the world, and people everywhere are engaged in their phones and walking insane distances to ace the game and be ahead of other Pokémon enthusiasts.
And now, social media reports are showing that Pokémon GO has been installed in more smartphones in the US than social dating app Tinder.
Even though the app is only officially available in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, it has caught on like wildfire. Online data analysis website SimilarWeb put out reports stating that as of the 8th of July 2016, Pokémon GO was installed on 5.6% of all Android smartphones in the US, while Tinder has a measly 2%.
Now here’s the real shocker. Pokémon GO is all set to overtake Twitter also, based on number of installs on Android smartphones.
Even shocking is the fact that Tinder was launched FIVE YEARS AGO, Twitter was launched TEN YEARS AGO, and Pokémon GO was launched FIVE DAYS AGO. How crazy is that? Additional data also shows that the app has overtaken WhatsApp, Instagram, and Snapchat, based on average time spent on the app. Pokémon GO is a whopping 43 minutes and 23 seconds a day.
So have you hopped on to the Pokémon GO bandwagon yet?
