The Pokemon franchise which boasts almost everything that fascinates kids right from video games to cards and mangas has come up with its very first live-action film. Pokemon – Detective Pikachu is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Director Rob Letterman shows a world where the little cute monsters live in harmony with the humans in the film.
The animated movie is backed by an ensemble voice-cast of Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton, Ken Watanabe among others. Just like the Pokemon comics and cartoons series, the film is also expected to be full of fun, action and comedy in-balance!
Pokemon- Detective Pikachu has already hit the theaters and the early reviews of the film have started coming in from the fans. While kids look to be very much impressed with Pikachu, many adults say that it was a one-time-watch.
Let’s have a look at what people and kids have to say about Pokemon Detective Pikachu:
Guys, @DetPikachuMovie is good. It’s not just good, it’s great. In fact, it’s excellent. A live action Pokemon-branded detective movie starring pikachu voiced by Ryan Reynolds is excellent. What a time to be alive.

It was worth the wait
As a pokemon fan, this is all I've wanted.
A perfect pokemon world.
I never want to forget this, I'm so glad that pokemon was apart of my short blip of a lifespan.

"The film does do a satisfactory job of delivering the first live-action/animated film in the #Pokémon franchise. From the looks of it, the makers are planning to make more Pokémon films."@gopi_rajen reviews #DetectivePikachu #DetectivePikachuReview https://t.co/ngQ6fb5bdf

#DetectivePikachu was awesome GAHHHH!!!! I didn’t go into it with much else than the early reviews and knowledge from the original 3DS game, but wow they managed to flesh it out into a wonderful movie!

I think #DetectivePikachu is kinda like cheap pizza with bacon on it. Is it Pizza? Yeah. Does it have the bacon-ney goodness of Ryan Reynolds? Hell yeah. Will it fill you up? Yes. But is it great pizza? No. There’s my review..and now I’m hungry.

Just before seeing #DetectivePikachu with my baby girl.
Naturally she brought her pikachu along.
If a 4 year old's review matters, she says "that was a cool movie!" pic.twitter.com/07t42xyWcE

#DetectivePikachu wasn’t very good. It was very formulated and kinda ridiculous, even for Pokémon. Some of the writing was cringy and lazy. But yes, this is the best video game movie.

First impression: human/Pikachu dynamic worth seeing, but the subpar story bogs the movie down.

Review #DetectivePikachu. I wanted to like this more than I did, but the story is dull and the human characters are blah. Dressing it up with a bunch of cute Pokemon only helps so much. IMO, it also needed more Snorlax. Pokemon fans & kids will surely see past its flaws, though. pic.twitter.com/5wu2vDWSYY

#DetectivePikachu is not as you were probably hoping for, BUT the Pokemon were pretty cute. I mean, the detail on the Bulbasaurs made me want to have one in real life. Full review here: https://t.co/ihMsY13edy pic.twitter.com/eZv9ArTPpg

I'm definitely going to give Detective Pikachu a negative review after watching it in cinema because this is totally different from the version I saw on youtube yesterday, which is the one I really enjoyed. #DetectivePikachu pic.twitter.com/Xff6XUANTC

"Tries to sound like a comedy, look like a noir, and act like a big summer blockbuster. Yet ends up being a whole lot of branded nothing"; The movie review for #DetectivePikachu is up now: https://t.co/vAHTstZl4V pic.twitter.com/9CTv5tOe3s
