You will hear a lot of people talk about the perils of being a woman in India. Safety, misogyny, sexism, patriarchal practices, etc. are all a huge concern for women in our country. But there are many perks too. Yes, there’s a lot of work to be done in the area of women’s empowerment. But we have to acknowledge the fact that a lot of work has been done already. So while there are many steps ahead to take, let’s cherish the walk that has already been made.
