With Rising Social Validation, People Reviews Are The Next ‘In Thing’!

Ever been on a really nasty date? The kind that makes you want to rip off your arm just so you have something to throw at them? Alas, we’ve all been there. Which got me thinking: is there a way to avoid such a catastrophe? Is there a way to know the ‘rating’ of a person based on prior ‘reviews’, just like we do for restaurants?! Sounds too good to be true, isn’t it?

But what if I tell you that there’s already a solution right in front of our eyes! In fact, it’s so close to our eyes that you might have already noticed it on memes and jokes; but never really gave it serious thought.

Confused? Let me show an example.

Here’s one of the latest Insta posts from comedian Naveen Richard. Observe closely:

Get it? Get it? (hint: This petite hottie explicitly requests suitors who have a 4.8+ rating)

Yes, I’m talking about Uber rating (or any feedback ratings for that matter)! There IS a way to pick quality people in your life: just go through people ratings! Isn’t it the perfect strategy to avoid rude people, bad dates and even toxic friends?!

Need more convincing? Allow me.

It’s time for Legit People Reviews, Folks!

The internet is a brave new place where your drivers, food delivery people and just about anyone you interact with is rating you. Every minute!

Lots of platforms host legit reviews on customers and people just like you! It feels like the Orkut days are back and fun testimonials are in. Albeit in a swifter, snappier star rating format! In fact, the raging popularity of these ratings now means that you can’t go anywhere without having someone take a sneak peek at your rating!

Rather than scouring social media to Facebook stalk that hottie at the gym, all you have to do is check their rating. Viola! They’re an open book to you!

How you may ask? Just picture the joys of meeting a person with an Uber rating of 4.8+. Here’s what you can easily assume about his/her personality:

  • They’d be cultured & well-behaved (a quality so many today lacks)
  • Chivalrous & compassionate (otherwise rating kaise 4.8 hota)
  • A charming conversationalist (we’re guessing since they pleased the cabbie!)
  • Perhaps generous (in case they tip the fellow)
  • Down to earth…

You get the drift, right?

Why should you care about those measly five stars?

Well, think about it. The guy/girl you just met through a matrimonial site probably was on his/her best behaviour to impress you. But would he/she be just as sweet to their cab driver? Probably not! Or probably yes. Is there a way to know?

Now you’re following.

The driver gets the real picture – a whole, uncensored and sometimes unfiltered (to-the-extent-of-being-verbally-abusive) picture.

Customer ratings are a great source of social intel on how a person truly is. The best part is that they can be savage AF!! What better way to get the inside deets on your next boo?

Star ratings and reviews are the new Social Currency!

In the digital age, reputation is the new currency. It’s far more important than your credit score.

Ultimately, would you prefer a low-interest loan or a great new partner?

Fortunately, you can have both.

Ratings make the latter possible, as drivers rating adds up to your social currency!

It might have started as a joke, but mark my words, ‘people reviews’ are the next big thing. It’s in fact the ‘in’ thing already:

After all, would these chivalrous chocolate boys really date someone with a 2.0 rating?

It’s time to keep your social media bio’s real short, peeps. Just let the ratings do the talking!

At the end of the day, you want more than just good looks in your bae.

It’s also the quickest way to ensure you don’t date a sociopath or a serial killer. Because, since when are those freaks ever nice to their cabbies! So, use Uber ratings as your filter, you can thank us later! (wow, that rhymed!) 🙂
