Do you remember being in school and wanting the things that all the “cool” kids had? For example, while I had a steel tiffin box, the cool kids had a ‘double-decker’ colourful tiffin box which had a separate compartment for a spoon and a fork. While I used a Rs 2 ‘Agni Icy Gel’ to write, the cool kids had that one jumbo pen with 6 different coloured refills. If you know what I’m talking about, you had an awesome childhood.
A picture of a similar ‘cool kid’ possession has been going viral online – that of the ultimate pencil box. This is no regular pencil box. It looked like a miniature bus with pencil/pen compartments both on the front and the back. It also sometimes came with an inbuilt sharpener, a mirror, and a tiny space to keep your eraser. Now, this picture went viral on Reddit and desi people have gone down a nostalgic trip! They immediately remembered how they wanted this pencil box badly as kids and some lucky ones shared stories how they managed to get these:
Honestly, which the ultimate pencil box was like biryani, the steel geometry box was like daal chawal. It never broke and could last for years!
Imagine trying so hard to get the pencil box and when you finally did, you broke it within a few days. THE TRAUMA!
Now that I’m earning, I wish I could go back in time and gift myself one of these!
