Today is the ‘International Day of Peace’, observed to encourage harmony and brotherhood across the globe. And as food has the power to bring us closer, a Vietnam-based pizza restaurant Pizza 4P’s has decided to combine flavours from different countries to create unique ‘Peace Pizzas’ the proceeds of which will go to the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund.
They say that their aim was “to prove if ingredients of these conflicting nations can be together on a pizza, so can we,” “because, without peace around us, there cannot be peace within us.”
#1. India & Pakistan Pizza with palak paneer and chapli kebab
#2. China & USA Pizza with chilli shrimp and buffalo chicken.
#3. Israel & Palestine pizza with za’atar hummus and musakhan.
However, people on Twitter were not impressed by the choice of ingredients. They said that Italy (the home of pizza) might declare war or there might be one inside the stomach after eating any of these. Take a look.
I loved eating Pizza 4P's. But the India-Pakistan Peace Pizza here looks indigestible.
