So, cricket is widely known to be a gentleman’s game. However, now and then, the gloves do come off and things tend to get a bit…. ahem… not so gentlemanly. Especially among the fans of opposing teams. And is there any other pair that’s seen more rivalry than India and Pakistan?
And today, ahead of the match between the two teams at the Asia Cup 2018, the Twitter handle of the Pakistan Cricket Board decided to pull one on us.
It started with the ICC tweeting a link to the highlights of the last ODI India played against Pakistan:
Ahead of #INDvPAK at the #AsiaCup2018, revisit the highlights of their last encounter – the #CT17 final! 🇮🇳🇵🇰

PCB decided it was the perfect way to troll India, using the tweet to call back to how Pakistan had won the match:
Here are the highlights of what hepoened when last time #INDvPAK ODI was played. Can Green Shirts redo today what they did at the Oval last year?#HarSaansMeinBolo 🇵🇰 https://t.co/VINLNzwIqK

Ummm… Okay, PCB, we get it. Rub it in. But… hold on… what’s that? Is that a TYPO???! *evil laugh
In their hurry to troll India, PCB made a typo in their tweet, spelling ‘happened’ as ‘hepoened’. This is all that Indian fans needed to get back at them:
1. Can you explain, pleej?

8. Maybe a spell check might help.

Now, I am not one to mock people based on their English proficiency or lack thereof. But in this case, chalta hai na? After all, they started it. Oh, and also… Go Blue!
