Patna Man Ready To Leave Wife For Asking To Get Rid Of His Dog Who Bit Her Thrice

For a long time now, dogs have been known to be humanity’s best friend. They’ve assisted us while hunting for food and protected us from harm. On the other hand, humanity has been obsessed with marrying someone they love or their parents love. Now, when a person is asked to choose between the two, who do you think they’ll side with?

According to the Hindustan Times, a women’s police station at Gandhi Maidan in Patna received an unusual complaint about a woman who said that she was beaten up by her husband because of his dog. She said,

“My husband used to beat me up when I asked him to get rid of the dog. I also complained that he did not get my medical checkup done properly. He prevents me from going to the market.”

Apparently, the dog had bitten the woman thrice. So naturally, she asked her husband to leave the canine. But he refused and allegedly beat her up as well.

Things escalated to the extent that the husband was ready to divorce his wife for the sake of his dog. That’s where the police stepped and summoned the husband for counselling. An officer said,

“It was just a ridiculous case for us that a husband was ready to leave his wife for his dog. He said, ‘If she wants to leave, I do not have any problem'”

However, it didn’t come to that thanks to the police and the couple reached a compromise. In addition to that, the husband gave an undertaking that the won’t beat or harass his wife.

SHO of the women’s police station Smita Sinha said that,

“I am not aware of such an incident as I was not in the city for the last few days. I will have to check it properly.”

Marriage is a two-way road and people need to understand that. And if you think that your love for your better half will be hindered by anything (even your pet), maybe don’t get married in the first place? It’ll save everyone from a truck-load of harassment and embarrassment.
