So, while, doctors and nurses are risking their lives to protect us, we need to treat them with the utmost respect. However, sadly, medical professionals are being subjected to negative behavior amid the pandemic.

Like, recently, a COVID-19 positive patient allegedly spat on a doctor at a government hospital in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, reports NDTV. Reportedly, the man was one of the 36 patients from the single source event that happened in Delhi last month.

“It was a serious crime under the present conditions with so many restrictions in force to prevent the spread of coronavirus,” the police was quoted saying by India Today.

Earlier, the patient had allegedly removed his mask and thrown it at one of the nurses. He had been causing trouble from the time he was admitted.

“Ever since his admission in the ward, he has not been cooperating with the medical staff,” police added.

The hospital officials have now filed a complaint against the patient. It goes without saying, it is essential that we co-operate with authorities to combat this difficult situation. They deserve our complete support and respect during these troubled times.
