Noida Metro Now Allows People To Book Coaches For Bachelor Parties & Birthday Celebrations

‘Work hard, party harder’ (or so they say). Well, I have always dreamt about having the ultimate bash for my friends. You know something special like a Bollywood-themed party or a unicorn-themed party.  But honestly, themed parties are no more unique, you need a really creative idea to throw a happening event.

You know something like booking a Metro train for your joyous celebrations. It sounds exciting, doesn’t it? Well, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has launched an initiative allowing people to book individual Metro coaches for a birthday or pre-wedding celebrations, reports Times of India.

The special events can be organized on either a moving or a stationary train. While the moving coaches will be available during operational hours, the static ones can be booked during non-operational hours from 11 PM to 2 AM. The NMRC is offering this novel experience in order to generate additional revenue.

“This will be a win-win situation for the people and the NMRC. The people will get an ideal place for celebrations while the NMRC can generate revenue,” NMRC executive director PD Upadhyaya was quoted saying by Hindustan Times.

Interested people will have to submit an application 15 days in advance to book either 1 or a maximum of 4 coaches. The cost for each coach would range anything between ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 per hour. Like, for example, an undecorated coach in a running Metro would cost ₹8,000 per hour while a decorated one would cost ₹10,000.

Other arrangements by the NMRC would include a center table, dustbins and housekeeping, and supervisory staff. The coaches would also have curtains on both sides for the privacy of the partygoers. A maximum of 50 people, including both adults and children, will be allowed in each coach.

And lastly, partygoers will have to follow the rules and regulations provided by the NMRC. The guidelines prescribed include the loss or damage to the metro property, hampering of operational activities. Also, the consumption of alcohol or the use of explosives will be strictly prohibited on the metro.
