Pakistan To Release Wing Commander Abhinandan Tomorrow As ‘Peace Gesture’, Says Imran Khan

The nation has been clamouring for our IAF braveheart’s release ever since Pakistan announced they had Wing Commander Abhinandan in custody on Wednesday. In a heartening turn of events, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan told the Parliament today that their government intends to release Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman tomorrow.

“As a peace gesture we have decided to release the Indian pilot in our custody,” said Imran Khan.

Earlier, Pak Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi revealed that they were contemplating Abhinandan’s release. This was provided it helped de-escalate the Indo-Pak conflict and tension. PM Khan offered to meet with Indian Prime Minister Modi. However, Indian Express reports, government sources indicated India isn’t in a mood to negotiate deals and wants the IAF pilot returned at the earliest, unharmed.

Speaking on the issue, US President Donald Trump hinted there was some “reasonably attractive news from Pakistan and India”.

“They have been going at it and we have been involved trying to have them stop. We have some reasonably decent news. I think hopefully that it’s going to come to an end,” Trump said in his statement.

#WelcomeBackAbhinandan is currently trending at #1 on Twitter ever since the news spread. Now the nation waits with bated breath for our pilot’s return!
