A Pakistani Minister Has Trashed Mohenjo Daro And Demanded Apologies From The Filmmakers

The much publicised prehistoric film Mohenjo Daro, starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde, and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker might have made huge money at the box office, but it failed to make a respectable mark on the viewers.

And now, added to that list is Sindh Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, Sardar Ali Shah, who has heavily criticised the movie and has demanded apologies from the filmmakers.

Shah has said that the movie is a gross mockery of the Sindh civilisation and that the filmmakers should be apologetic. He was also quoted as saying that he would communicate Sindh’s reactions and objections to ‘the director concerned.’

Shah noted that the Harappa War and other concepts depicted in the movie were just figments of the filmmakers’ imaginations.

He said that the storyline of the film had nothing to do with the actual history of the 5000-year-old Harrapan civilisation in Moenjodaro.

Wonder what Ashutosh Gowariker has to reply to this.
