A swashbuckling century from vice-captain Rohit Sharma perfectly cushioned by skipper Virat Kohli, gave India their 7th win against Pakistan at the World Cup on Sunday. The Men In Blue outclassed their arch-rivals in all departments to seal the high-octane encounter by 89 runs in their favor.
The humiliating loss added to the frustration of the Pakistani fans who have been waiting since 1992 to witness their team beat India at the grandest stage of all. However, with the defeat in Manchester, Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed joined the likes of Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Inzamam-Ul-Haq, Shahid Afridi and Misbah-Ul-Haq, some elite names who have all failed to triumph over the Indians.
