Harry Potter’s Padma Patil, Afshan Azad, Got Married And There Was A Mini Hogwarts Reunion!

You guys remember Padma Patil, right? Indian girl, Hogwarts alumni and Ron Weasley’s last minute date to the Yule Ball in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire?

As you know, most of the Hogwarts students majorly Neville Longbottom-ed over the years. And the British actress of Bangladeshi decent, Afshan Azad, who played Padma Patil, was one of them!

Last week, 29-year-old Afshan Azad tied the knot with Nabil Kazi and her wedding was every bit magical like a Hogwarts students wedding ought to be!

The couple had a traditional Bangladeshi wedding, replete with mehendi, sangeet and wedding ceremonies! And Afshan looked an absolute stunner in her regal bridal attire!

Planning a wedding on your own isn’t easy, but when you find the EXACT people to make your dreams a reality, things because that bit easier. Being from a fun and fab family I knew I wanted something quirky and outside the box to showcase my personality at my wedding. But what’s a Hogwarts alumni wedding without a reunion, right? And it went down quite well with Ginny Weasley and Cho Chang making an appearance!

Afshan had revealed that on the sets of the Harry Potter movies, she had become quite close friends with Bonnie Wright, who plays Ginny Weasley, and Katie Leung, who plays Ravenclaw’s Cho Chang, amongst others. And the two were present to celebrate Afshan’s special day!
