The world is still reeling from the high-spirited feeling that Oprah Winfrey’s Golden Globe speech left us with. It was everything we wanted to hear – empowerment, safety, justice, equality. We wanted someone to tell us that the people who have been tormenting us for ages, Their Time Is Up. So it was only natural for the world to root for Oprah Winfrey to run for American Presidential Elections 2020.
Oprah Winfrey. A woman of colour, a woman of power, a woman who stands for what it right, a woman who undoubtedly has the ability to bring about a real change in the society as we know it.
On the other hand, we have the current POTUS – Donald Trump. He is known for his bias towards people of colour, for objectifying women, he is known for passing lewd remarks about women and talking about them in vulgar language. Basically, he is the epitome of the problem we are trying to fight here.
Now when we’re finally on the brink of change and we have a ray of hope to make it happen, Trump thinks he can beat Oprah in the elections. Hear it for yourself.

I am not arguing about who is the better candidate or even trying to predict who will win or lose the 2020 elections. But the confidence with which Trump says he can beat a woman of such great influence and power in her words is appalling.
And there is a thin line between being confident and being pompous. Trump, as most would agree, falls into the latter category.
I personally do not think Trump can achieve what he claims, i.e. beating Oprah in the elections. But if you don’t agree with me, here are some others from the Twitterverse who think so too.
1. Trumpy it is.

4. He cannot come even close to it.
Trump can't match her oratory skills. Oprah's ability to talk to an audience, connect with people, and inspire them is on a totally different level.

5. Yaasss Queen!
C'mon Donald, you are a president, but she's a queen!

6. America are you listening?
I don't think anybody would be stupid enough to vote for him a second time, or at least I hope not.

7. Childish fantasies, yea?

8. Imagine claiming to beat Christ. *Jesus save us all*
Trump believes he could beat Jesus Christ. The man sees & thinks about nothing but his bloviated self.

9. You see what I mean?
I doubt that very much. Trump wouldn't win running against my Yorkie, she has far more sense and "smarts" than Trump & the whole GOP.

10. But will he beat her, though?
Oh Dear Lord: Now he'll be beating up @Oprah (whom I love) Asswipe Trump has got to go. pic.twitter.com/z588QuVm5d

2018 has still just begun and 2020 is going to be a while. But by the looks of it, we can hope for a change to come our way soon. And if either of the beloved ladies – Michelle Obama or Oprah Winfrey were really to run for POTUS, change will be imminent. And Trump’s time will be up.
