There is no denying that road trips are amazing. If it were up to me and if I had the money, I sure as hell would travel the world in a van with my best friends and blaring music. Or I’d make myself a house on wheels like that couple who’ve been travelling ever since.
But even if I do decide on a road trip, there are a few countries which have the most stringent laws which won’t let me enter. Like North Korea, for example. It’s one of the most tightly-controlled countries in the world.
Surprisingly though, a Bengaluru student, 21-year-old Prashant Shahi, managed to book an Ola cab from Bangalore to North Korea. That’s not all, though. The estimated fare comes up to a whopping ₹1.4L.
The cab service app even accepted the booking and sent him a confirmation, along with driver details for the 5-day long road trip.
Prashant flagged it off on Twitter to the cab service’s official account but he did not get any response from them.

It was only after other people tweeted to Ola that they responded. What did they respond, you ask? Well, they deemed it to be a technical glitch and advised him to restart his phone.
This seems to be a technical glitch. Please restart the phone and try again.

But Twitterati came to the rescue and proved to the cab service that it wasn’t a technical glitch. They began tweeting to Ola with screenshots of cab booking to far off places.

Some Twitter users also found humour in this situation and made it a point to share the joke.
1. ₹15 for insurance of an international trip? Not bad at all.
And you can add insurance too… Simply ₹15 extra 😂😂😂

2. The others would also like to go, obviously.
So this is the reason for their strike today is it? Why should only a few drivers get a chance to go and not the others? 🤣

It sure looks like a technical glitch, but not at the user’s end for sure. Hopefully, Ola fixes the issue soon and puts an end to our looooooooooooooooooooooong trips.
