This Boy From A Village In Odisha Lived In An Orphanage. Today, He Trains Tiger Shroff.

“It’s hard to beat a person who never gives up.” ― Babe Ruth

And Vikram Swain is one such person. Vikram puts that ‘extra’ into an ordinary story.

Vikram Swain is Tiger Shroff’s dance trainer. He hails from Antarigam in Odisha. Despite having a father, he stayed in an orphanage with his younger brother. When he was 9, he started working in a park for a mere 400 rupees. With this money, he started taking care of his 3-year-old toddler brother.

Antarigam is an extremely backward village which had no electricity until a couple of years back. All Vikram cared was to educate his younger brother and so he moved to Surat to learn embroidery, he was just 13 then.

In 2009, Vikram decided to try his luck in the city of dreams, Mumbai. He started working as a car cleaner in South Mumbai. He befriended a driver and every Sunday, they would visit Juhu Beach. It was here Vikram saw a few boys practicing gymnastics and he followed suit.

There wasn’t a single holiday when Vikram wouldn’t visit the beach and follow his new found passion.

Little did Vikram know that one such Sunday will change his life around. He was spotted by Tiger Shroff who was mighty impressed with him. Tiger was preparing for his debut film.He performed a few stunts with Vikram and offered him a job.

The budding star not only offered Vikram a job but gave him a new lease of life. Tiger Shroff bought him a phone and would communicate with him only through messages since Vikram didn’t know the how to speak the language.

With a will of steel determination, Vikram left no stone unturned and soon began to learn various dance forms. Next big thing happened. Vikram now not only trains Tiger Shroff, Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty but has also assisted Ahmed Khan in Kick, Phantom, Hero, All is Well and other movies.

With his never say die attitude, Vikram has bought a piece of land for his family in his village and his younger brother is pursuing an MBA. For someone who had no idea when he would get his next meal, Vikram is the first person from his village who has a passport and has traveled abroad.

Our heartfelt respect to Vikram for never giving up. #Respect
