Remember how last month the National Stock Exchange’s official Twitter handle accidentally shared pictures of actress Mouni Roy that sparked a meme fest online? Well, people are ‘trading’ jokes today as well because earlier this morning, rates on the exchange stopped updating due to a technical glitch and trading was halted at 11.40 am.
The Economic Times reports that the ticker froze and the NSE website showed prices as of 10.08 am.
NSE has multiple telecom links with two service providers to ensure redundancy. We have received communication from both the telecom service providers that there are issues with their links due to which there is an impact on NSE system.
