Night King ‘Arrested’ By Norwegian Cops For Property Damage & Animal Cruelty!

Game of Thrones fever has officially taken over the world. The first episode of season 8 aired early Monday morning and fans have been in a tizzy ever since. Apart from analysing each and every aspect of the show for easter eggs, desi Twitter also made managed to hilariously spoof a scene between Euron Greyjoy and Cersei Lannister with SRK’s iconic ‘Palat’ dialogue from DDLJ.

Now, police officials in Trondheim, Norway have ‘apprehended’ the most wanted criminal in all 7 kingdoms – The Night King. He was ‘arrested’ for animal cruelty (killing Viserion and turning him into an undead dragon) and property damage (annihilating the wall).

But who is this guy really? Is the Night King actually behind bars?

This was actually a humorous exercise undertaken by the Trondheim police department to reach out to the community and interact with them. A police officer borrowed a mask and an orange jumpsuit to play the role of the series villain.

Markus Ree, superintendent of Trondheim Police’s fifth division, told Newsweek,

“Funny posts like this one help engage social media users. That’s useful when we later ask for help solving crimes or searching for missing persons.”

Looks like they got what they hoped for. The viral post currently has 12,000 comments and 4,500 shares.

Netizens are loving how the real-life ‘night’s watch’ is doing things. They dealt with the most dangerous criminal in the realm and locked him up for good. Sense of humour on point, don’t you think?
