Boyfriend Proposes His Photographer GF Under The Surreal Northern Lights And We Are Floored!

I am no expert on the topic, but by knowledge acquired through TV shows, movies and stories, proposing to your S.O for marriage is not as easy as it sounds. Even after you attain all your courage, buy an expensive ring and choose the perfect time and place, it is almost impossible to have a ‘perfect proposal’.

Why ‘almost’? Because this Aussie couple has proved that nothing is impossible.

Dale Sharpe, a resident of Queensland, Australia, proposed to his girlfriend, Karlie Russell in perhaps, the most visually stunning setting. The photographer couple got engaged at the heart of the Arctic circle under Aurora Borealis or the ‘northern lights’.

The couple had travelled together to the location 30 times, so it was the perfect place for them to get committed. Speaking of his choice of the location, Dale said,

“I hadn’t heard or seen anyone do it before, and I wanted to do something different from everybody else.we both love chasing the Northern Lights and photographing them together, So it seemed pretty fitting.”

Dale’s original plan was to pop the question during their last visit to the Arctic circle nine months ago, but the ring landed in in the trash can due to a mistake.

To surprise Karlie, Dale hid the ring inside a moisturiser bottle. But, when the couple reached the airport, their bags turned out to be overweight, so Karlie threw the bottle, along with a $4,000 ring inside a dustbin.

So when Dale saved enough money again and saw the perfect lights during this visit, he decided to go down on his knee and ask the question. And now he describes the northern lights as,

“It was the most amazing display of colour in the Aurora that we’ve ever seen.”

Could you trump this guy’s idea of a proposal?
