While most of the country is sitting indoors and complaining about the pandemic and its consequences, animals are having the time of their lives! Many people think that nature is healing itself as even critically endangered animals have resurfaced because of low pollution and minimal human activity!
Speaking of which, a herd of Nilgai were spotted near the Indira Gandhi International airport in Delhi.
The Nilgai is also known as the largest Asian antelope and can be found in the northern Indian subcontinent. However, they can mostly be seen in forests.
Pictures of the majestic animals were posted on Twitter where they can be seen enjoying some sunshine! Have a look:

Nilgai near IGI Airport Delhi. Nilgai is state animal of Delhi. So maybe wanted to discuss few things including flight schedule. Given the special status they enjoy. Pic via @sandeep662003 pic.twitter.com/gmRy8dknNs

People on the internet took to the comment section to claim that the earth is “rebooting”! Some are also reminded of earlier times when the population and pollution were less and these animals could be easily spotted outside.

I think if we stay in lockdown for few more months, we may have to fight with wild animals to get back our space.

Best thing this virus gave us is that animals are free and happy. At least for now

In the past years, the world experienced some heartbreaking natural disasters. Visuals of the recent Australian Bushfires still come to mind and it is difficult not to consider that nature has taken upon itself to maintain a balance.
Maybe we can all use this time to retrospect our activities against nature and mend our ways before it gets too late.
