Bride Asks Groom To Shave His Beard Singing ‘Punjabi Tappe’ & His Response Is Winning The Internet!

Nowadays, when couples tie the knot, they make sure to include personalised elements at the shaadi. From something simple like a wedding hashtag to something elaborate like paper napkins with their initials on them, they are getting more and more creative with unique ideas. Grooms get the wedding date embroidered on their shoes, brides get poems or quotes stitched onto their lehengas and even get portraits done for their mehendi.

But this couple went a step further and sang personalised renditions of the song ‘Kothe te aa mahiya – Punjabi Tappe’ for each other and it was the sweetest thing ever!

Anant and Veena (#VeeNant) sat down after the ceremony was over and wowed the guests with their witty and cute rendition of the popular number originally sung by Jagjit and Chitra Singh. They swapped out a few of the words from the song and replaced them with ones that related to their relationship.

The lovely video has since gone viral on WhatsApp and Twitter with people sharing it with their family and friends. Even people who can’t understand the lyrics are watching it on loop because their feelings shine through beautifully.
