The COVID-19 lockdown has till now taken the lives of thousands of people. And amid this time of crisis, several instances of parents naming their kids inspired by the pandemic had surfaced. Earlier, a couple named their twin babies COVID and Corona in Raipur. Soon after, a couple from Uttar Pradesh named their newborn baby boy, ‘Sanitiser’. Now, a woman named her son ‘Lockdown Yadav’.
According to News18, the woman identified as Rita Yadav, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh went into labour while she was travelling in Shramik Express from Mumbai.
She was then sent to the district hospital in Madhya Pradesh’s Burhanpur where she gave birth to her son and named him ‘Lockdown Yadav’, reported Times Of India.
In a tweet, CM of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, broke the news and congratulated the woman.
नन्हे लॉकडाउन को आशीर्वाद, शुभकामनाएं! pic.twitter.com/uZf0CNtVMX

I am sure the parents naming their kids as ‘Sanitier’, ‘Covid’ and ‘Lockdown’ might have brainstormed a lot. But, I wonder how the kids will react to it when they grow up. What do you think of this new naming trend? Tell us.
