If we think India losing in semi-finals was a tough luck, we can only imagine the anguish New Zealand must be going through on losing the finals against England. And while England won with the luck standing strong behind their efforts, no one in their right minds could say that NZ deserved to lose. And while everyone has their own way of coping from this loss, Jimmy Neesham seems to be using dark humor for recovery.
Neesham was utterly disappointed in the outcome of the match, and took it to Twitter for his grief. In his series of tweets he asked children to not pick sports for a career option. He recommended baking, saying that it would allow them to die at 60 “really fat and happy”.
Kids, don’t take up sport. Take up baking or something. Die at 60 really fat and happy.

Kiwi bowler also acknowledged and congratulated England’s victory. But, he also said that he hopes for day over a couple decades, when he doesn’t think about the last half hour of the match.
That hurts. Hopefully there’s a day or two over the next decade where I don’t think about that last half hour. Congratulations @ECB_cricket , well deserved.

Although, his fans did smell the whiff of humor is his tweets, they still wanted to cheer Neesham up for the brilliant performance of not just him, but also his entire team.

You guys are an inspiration. The passion, the camaraderie, the culture and the leadership that NZ shown is something my kids will aspire for. If there is any such thing as losing with dignity then, we just learnt the very new meaning of dignity. #ChinUpKiwis

Pushing forward from the mosh-pit of cricket teams to finding their way to the finals for a final match between England and NZ; the World Cup was in itself fantastic. The two teams kept the whole world on the edge of their seats and fought a tied match to the teeth. It appears there wasn’t really one winner, but two.
Kudos to the valiant efforts of both the teams. And extra credits to the Black Caps for taking the loss like champions at heart.
