Although Bollywood actor and jewellery designer Neelam Kothari became famous after her role in the 1986 film ‘Ilzaam’, most of us millennials know her from her appearance in the ‘Neelam show’ in the popular film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.
A while back, she starred in a reality TV show alongside many other celebrity wives that telecasted their day-to-day activities. In the show, Neelam got her fillers on camera. While the makers wanted to show the real side of these stars, it led to people trolling Neelam for her looks.
In a recent interview, the ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ actor said that she isn’t sure if it was a very smart thing to do. “Some people were like, ‘Oh, great, you need ba**s to do something like this.”
She also revealed that she would get messages from social media on her direct messages that read, ‘Aye buddhi (Hey, old woman)’. “So, I am not sure if that was a very good idea but of course, you need guts to do something like that,” Hindustan Times quoted her saying.

Like all other Bollywood wives, Neelam also went all out to show her real side to the audiences. “When I go out to parties and I see some of our friends, who are 50+ and they look great, I always wonder what she does, which doctor she goes to. I just felt, for women my age, I just think it helps to know what procedures you could do, which doctors you could go to, so I just feel, ‘Why not? What’s the big deal?’” she divulged.
On the show, she did contemplate returning to the industry and we also wish she spreads her magic on the silver screen again.
