Akshay Kumar Spoke On Naseeruddin’s Comment On Rajesh Khanna And Handled It Like A Khiladi

Naseeruddin Shah recent dig at the late Bollywood legend, Rajesh Khanna had garnered much hue and cry over the past few weeks and Bollywood biggies have stepped forward to express their opinions over the matter.

In case, you’re unaware of the controversy, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah opined that mediocrity in Bollywood has hit since the 1970s and that actor Rajesh Khanna had been a very influencing figure behind such mediocrity.

A handful of Bollywood personalities didn’t take the statement very well but among them, Rajesh Khanna’s daughter, Twinkle Khanna was the most vocal about expressing her displeasure with Naseeruddin’s opinion. After a few heated updates on Twitter, Naseer finally decided to apologize for his words which settled the matter.

 

However, one person whose take on the whole incident remained unknown until now was Twinkle’s husband and and Rajesh Khanna’s son-in-law, Akshay Kumar. Akshay who had once set the screen on fire with Naseer in Mohra had the the most matured thing to say about the whole incident.

 

Here’s what he feels:

I am in this industry for last 25 years, just tell me if I have ever spoken anything about other actor. Some wise person has said that mind your own business and I feel I should do my own work… who am I to comment on anyone.

 

The actor clearly knows what freedom of expression holds for:

Everybody has their own way of talking and everyone can speak their voice out. Now it’s a closed matter. Nasser Saab has gracefully apologized and I would appreciate if we all forget about this.

Hopefully, this will put an end to all the talks about the issue.
