Advertising is everything when it comes to delivering your company’s message across. But some of them seem to do it real badly.
Nando’s is a popular food joint who took advertising to a whole new level by comparing it to women’s bodies. They thought it would sound really smart and out of the box, but it failed massively.
They were of the opinion that ‘breast’, ‘thighs’ or ‘buns’ were terrific puns and it would deliver the message across.
Here are some more photos:
1. Not cool, Nando’s!
2. …Yeah!
3. This poster was created earlier.
4. And this old sexist ad, which crossed the boundary
This drew a lot of flak on social media with people calling them ‘sexist’ and accusing them of inviting rape culture.
Disgraceful, disgusting!! Objectification of women is a trend in India! Shameless advertising by @NandosIndia pic.twitter.com/loFD1EGhiG

Dear #Nando‘s is your food so inedible that you have to rely on lines from a bad C grade movie to sell it? pic.twitter.com/q4eoXRJt1V

Which ended up in Nando’s apologising publicly:
We sincerely apologise for any offense caused by our ad published today. Our intent was not to offend anyone. We promise to do better.

Good luck for the next time, Nando’s.
