The drought situation in Maharashtra has elevated to a very dangerous level. People are dying because of the heatwave, and if not that, farmers and their family members are committing suicide as the numbers keep on increasing and the water keeps on decreasing.

Among all this, Nana Patekar was always a strong voice, as he heralded the emotions and the state of farmers in Maharastra. In a recent interview with NDTV, he was asked what can we do as the people who are better off, and how can we contribute in helping the poor farmers. He almost broke down, citing that there is a lack of consciousness and not enough knowledge about the farmers’ sufferings.
