After Cockroaches, You Can Now Name A Poisonous Snake After Your Ex For Valentine’s Day!

T-minus 8 days and counting.

That’s the countdown for Valentine’s Day 2019. And if you thought it was a day only for people in loving relationships, think again. A majority of brands do come out with discounts, offers and special gifts, especially for couples. BUT, a few have rolled out interesting programs for those of us who’ve just come out of a relationship. Like ‘Name a cockroach after your ex‘. It is just as much fun as it sounds.

Don’t think cockroaches are enough? How about a poisonous snake then?

The General Manager, Mark Connolly says,

“We hope that by providing someone unlucky in love the opportunity to name WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo’s very own brown snake after their ex, we can give them something else to celebrate on Valentine’s Day this year. We’re also throwing in an annual pass to WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, so that you can also visit the snake in Darling Harbour as many times as you want during the next year!”

How do I enter the contest?

Donate AU $1 (~ INR 50) to a fund that protects Australia’s natural wildlife. Then fill in this form with your basic details. Finally, the best part, write down your ex’s name and explain why you think a snake should be named after them. The most ‘deserving’ ex wins. The competition winner will be announced on the 14th of February 2019.

Go on, participate and get some closure. May the odds be ever in your favour 🙂
