‘Namaste Aliens’. NASA’s Hindi Greetings For Alien Life Can Now Be Heard On Soundcloud.

Do you know the reason why Hrithik Roshan was able to contact aliens in Koi Mil Gaya? Because he tried in Hindi. And NASA seems to have realized this fact.

NASA had added musical selections from different cultures, eras and every-day used greetings in 55 new languages including Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, etc to attempt to contact extra-terrestrial life, and now the collection can be heard on Soundcloud.

NASA has uploaded various greetings in different languages to Soundcloud, that were carried on the two Voyager spacecraft launched in 1977. A good way to greet extra-terrestrial life, right? These sounds included recordings of rain, a mother and child and will now include greetings in 55 new languages and were collectively called the Golden Records.

The contents of the record were selected by a committee chaired by the late and renowned astronomer, Carl Sagan and up until now was quite literally a 12 inch gold-plated copper disk with all the recorded sounds and images.

You know, just in case the aliens know Hindi better than English.
