Nagpur Man Feeds Chicken Biryani To 190 Stray Dogs & Cats Amid Pandemic, Twitter Reacts

Amid these testing times, several people have come forward to lend their hands to the needy. And among these good Samaritans is Ranjeet Nath hailing from Maharashtra’s Nagpur who has been feeding stray dogs in the vicinity.

According to Republic World, Nath has been feeding nearly 40 kilograms of home-cooked scrumptious chicken-rice to around 190 dogs thrice a week ever since the country came into the grip of the coronavirus.

He was quoted as saying, “I am busy on Wednesday, Sunday & Friday as I prepare 30-40 kg biryani for these dogs. They are like my kids now. I won’t leave this work till I am alive; it makes me happy.”

A typical day of Ranjeet starts with preparing the chicken-rice for the dogs that he considers as his kids. He cooks the food from noon and goes around the city on his bike at 5 pm to feed the strays.

“I have 10-12 fixed locations and my ‘bacche’ know them. The moment they see me, they start running towards me. Once on the streets, I do not discriminate against strays. I also feed cats,” Times Now quoted him saying.

He further added, “There is less meat and more bones in the chicken biryani. I get the bony part of the chicken at a cheaper rate which helps me to feed more dogs. Until last month, most of the expenditure was from my pocket.”

This is how people reacted to his deed:

That’s so thoughtful of him. May God bless him.
