Nagpur Boy Steals Gold From Aunt & Runs Away To Get Sex Change, All To Become A Bar Dancer

The teenage years are an extremely confusing time with your body going through a rollercoaster ride of changes. The hormonal cocktail running through a teenager’s body is something that makes me glad I’m past all that. However, teenagers these days seem to be way ahead of their time. They know exactly what they want and how to get it.

That being said, they are also extremely impressionable and can fall into many traps in the absence of a watchful presence.

Something similar happened to a boy from Nagpur. The 14-year-old ran away from home with 500 grams of gold that he stole from his maternal aunt.

The reason he stole the gold was so that he could use it to pay for his sex-change surgery. However, his motive behind wanting to get a sex-reversal surgery is a bit bizarre.

Apparently, he was influenced by the lavish lifestyle that his aunt led by being a bar dancer.

The class VIII student is being raised by his maternal uncle after his mother moved in with some man. His family was being supported by the maternal aunt who’s gold the boy ran away with. The incident occurred on the 7th of August after she came to visit them in Nagpur from Mumbai with the gold to keep it in a bank locker.

According to the Times of India, the cops say:

“the teenager came in contact with a glitzy life of a bar dancer when he visited his maternal aunt’s house.”

After leaving his home, the boy contacted Rehana Dhanawat, who is also a bar dancer by profession. She assured him that she would help him with his surgery and asked him to wait near the Quetta Colony.

With the aid of Imran Shariff, Farooq Shaikh and Prashant Jangde, Rehana kept the boy at Pardi for a few days and was later taken to Mumbai. All this time Rehana would tell the teenager that they were in the process to finalize the doctor and an appropriate place to get it done in Mumbai. However, they were in the process of trying to sell or mortgage the gold for themselves.

After more than a month, the police were able to rescue the boy from Rehana’s rented apartment in Mumbai on the 17th of September. Senior PI Santosh Khandekar says:

“The teenager has been shifted to a government shelter home. his intention to have sex change surfaced during investigations when his close friend confided with the cops about his aspirations of leading a rich lifestyle of a bar dancer in mumbai.”

Police have arrested the four involved in the incident for instigating the boy to commit a crime. However, despite efforts to counsel the teenager, he is adamant that he wants to stay with Rehana and undergo the surgery to turn into a woman and to permanently shift to Mumbai.

Incidents such as these remind us of how easily impressionable teenagers are and of how careful those around them have to be in giving them the right lessons.
