Nagpur Boy Is ‘Aashiq Of The Year’ After Requesting The Police To Find His ‘Stolen’ Heart

The general IQ of a person decreases by a few notches when they’re in love. They tend to lie to almost everyone and consider it cute because they’re doing it for love. They tend to get into fights, but perceive it as an effect of the affection for their “bae”. And, despite having no expertise in space travel, they make grand promises about gifting the Moon and the stars.

But somewhere down the line, people do come to the realisation that it’s just hyperbole and a means to keep the romance alive. Right? Well, not for one young guy from Nagpur.

According to News18, Nagpur police faced an unique situation after being approached by a youth complaining that his heart has been stolen.

If you’re thinking that he was talking about a stolen prop or a heart-shaped toy, then you’re wrong. A senior official said that the boy was convinced that his actual beating heart has been stolen by a girl. And that’s why he wanted to file a complaint so that the police can find it and bring it back to him.

While most of us would’ve neglected the issue because of its frivolous nature, Nagpur police actually took the time to discuss the issue with their superiors.

Considering how there’s no section under Indian laws that allows the police to deal with such complaints, they had to tell the guy that they can’t do anything about his “stolen” heart.

The incident was shared by Nagpur Police Commissioner Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay during a programme where the police dept. returned stolen articles worth Rs. 82 lakhs. He told the media that,

“We can return stolen articles, but sometimes we also get such complaints which even we cannot solve.”

Now, although I’m cynical about the whole concept of romance, I do relate with the feeling of being in love and the kind of restlessness it might cause. But please consider waiting it out by doing your job instead of asking the police to be your wing-man.
