We see so many people complain constantly about the roads, their localities, buildings, government offices, and railways not being clean enough. To think that it is only the duty of rag pickers and cleaners allotted by the local municipalities is a heavy mistake. Keeping surroundings clean is a job for each and every citizen of this country. If only people threw garbage in the bin instead of littering public places, we would have had a much cleaner environment.
A train passenger travelling via the Mysore-Varanasi Express recently took on Twitter to express his agitation over how the housekeeping services have been disappointing. He posted a picture of his AC compartment which was littered with food packets, plastics, cups, bottles, and a lot of other junk. He slammed Indian Railway for allegedly having no care for passengers.
I m traveling to in Mysore Varanasi express 16229 3rd AC since 2 days no housekipping no cleaning what is going Indian railway for what we r paying

As the picture went viral, netizens gathered to school the man on basic cleanliness which is the responsibility of the passengers. They said how paying for a train ticket simply doesn’t allow a person to litter as much as he wants in the compartment and expect someone else to clean up the mess.
You are paying doesn't mean you will litter the trash anywhere you want and then wait for housekeeping otherwise start sulking!

#Shame on the people who have littered in this train ! How can u blame railways for this ? Is this the way to travel ? If u want good facilities then learn to use them well ! #FaaltuOutrageBandhKaro @RailMinIndia – start penalising ppl who litter in trains @PiyushGoyal

Seems like the coach is littered deliberately to create a controversy and the @RailMinIndia can be tagged and blamed…
Grow up…stop littering and placing the blame on others…

Who created this mess in the first place?
Do you think Indian railways is a housekeeping service!

I can understand housekeeping staff should clean regularly. By d way who made this dirty condition littered wid trash. Is it railways? It is d passengers.Just because we pay , it doesn't give us right to dirty d coaches. U could have always stopped ur co passengers littering

Passengers who have literred this train are uncivilised and savage people . Why do they make trains dirty inside? @PiyushGoyal

It’s time we stop depending completely upon housekeeping and cleaning services to get rid of the mess that we have created. Instead of throwing waste anywhere and everywhere, all you need to do is either throw it in the bin or pack it and keep it with yourself till you spot one. Is this so hard to do?
