Yesterday’s India vs West Indies match broke our hearts. Nevertheless, people still supported their team and accepted the defeat as a mark of true sportsmanship.
However, Mushfiqur Rahim, Bangladesh’s wicketkeeper and batsman, expressed happiness over India’s defeat. He tweeted it by uploading a picture of MS Dhoni at the post-match press conference.
This is what he tweeted:
And this was his post on Facebook:
Indians trolled him real badly and expressed dissent by tweeting this:
Mushfiqur I thought always looked a 10-year old. Now he tweets like one too. https://t.co/pNBqq83PuG

People are abusing Mushfiqur for his post and here I’m wondering if Bangladesh really have internet !

Mushfiqur Rahim is so classless he looks like a Marxist utopia #IndvsWI

After receiving a torrent of backlash and hate, Mushfiqur ultimately deleted his tweet.
And ended up apologising for his immaturity.
Here’s what he posted:
Sorry to all of you guys…as i am a big West Indies supporter but anyway sorry again for some harsh words…!!!!

Mushfiqur’s tweet only shows the ugly side of sportsmanship.
All of us should accept the defeat in a good spirit and still support Team India. #BleedBlue
