Railway Police Nabs Female Robbers Who Stole 38 Cellphones For Their Common Boyfriend

When people are in love, they go to great extents to express that. In order to woo their beloved, some buy expensive things or take them to movies or, as corny as it sounds, write poems. Now, there are some extreme cases where people go a little over-the-top, thereby leading to a reaction opposite to that of love. However, did you know there’s a third option that involves stealing in broad daylight? No? Well, read on then.

According to Times of India, Mumbai Police caught two girls for stealing close to 38 mobile phones over the past two months in the women’s compartments of local trains. Purshottam Karad, DCP revealed the startling reason why they did so,

“Preliminary investigations have led us to believe that the two college girls are in love with the wanted accused Singh. They claimed to have stolen the phones for fast money and spent it on Singh.”

Investigators reported that the duo are Twinkle Soni and Tinal Parmar. Apparently, they’re in a three-way relationship with a guy named Hrishi Singh.

Apart from the two girls, Railway cops have also nabbed 28-year-old, Rahul Rajpurohit. He’s the one who was in charge of buying the stolen phones and has done business of over ₹ 3 lakh with them.

As per multiple complaints, the love-struck robbers stole phones between Borivli and Santacruz stations. So, Karad formed a team of women cops who boarded the train at Kandivli to catch them.

“Around 1pm, cops caught Soni red-handed while she was trying to pinch a phone from a commuter’s bag. Her arrest helped us nab Parmar and the person who bought the phones from their boyfriend. They are wanted in at least seven cases.”

After Parmar and Soni were arrested, they told that they were college students. Additionally, they admitted that they used to meet Singh (the boyfriend), who would help them sell the stolen mobile phones.

As the operation was conducted successfully by Karad’s team, they managed to stop another major robbery and put the accused into police custody until further investigation is done.

“The girls used to steal the phones on trains while on their way to their respective colleges. At least nine phones were recovered from Soni’s bag. A total of 38 phones and 30 memory cards have been recovered from the arrested accused.”

I understand that when people are in love, their minds don’t function properly. But at least they should’ve the sensibility to understand when they’re committing a serious crime. These are college kids who’ve their entire life ahead of them and they’re wasting it away on a guy who probably doesn’t even love them. So, hopefully the police can knock some sense into these girls and show them the correct path ahead.
