Multiple earthquakes shook Maharashtra on Friday night and Saturday morning as most of us were fast asleep. According to India Today, an earthquake of magnitude 4.0 hit 98 km west of Nashik at 11:41 pm on Friday night. Within the next half hour, tremors were again felt in Nashik at 12.05 midnight, reports Dainik Bhaskar.

Another earthquake jolted the residents staying 95 km west of Nashik at 5:12 am on Saturday.

People in the north of Mumbai also experienced Earth trembling as an earthquake of magnitude 2.7 at 6:36 am occurred this morning, tweeted the National Centre for Seismology.
