Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise has not only left us grieving but also made us question the importance of mental health. In an industry where actors win several hearts, there are chances that they might still get lonely. So, while celebrities might have money and fame, it is not necessary that they are in a happy place mentally.
Speaking of which, filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt, spoke about how he felt Sushant was a ‘disturbed soul’, reports Times of India. In an interview with a news channel, Bhatt said that he met Sushant a year-and-a-half ago for his film ‘Sadak 2’.
He was quoted saying, “He was not there, while talking to me, I felt that he was not on the same plain. He was a very disturbed boy. There was something amiss, something wrong.” The filmmaker reportedly ‘saw it coming’ as there was something with Sushant which was ‘not connected.’
He also feared that the actor was ‘going the Parveen Babi way’. However, his statements didn’t go down well with veteran singer-turned politician Babul Supriyo. He questioned why Bhatt didn’t take any efforts to help the actor even when he was aware of his situation.
Anguished to hear MukeshBhatt ji (otherwise a good friend of mine) saying on @TimesNow that he saw it coming for Sushant! He may not hv given him #Sadak2 #Ashique2 for professional reasons, that's fair enough but it's a shame that he didn't act or help him out as a fatherly figure

Similarly, filmmaker Karan Johar, who produced one of Sushant’s last films called ‘Drive’, opened up about the actor’s situation. He took to Instagram saying, “We live in very energetic and noisy but still very isolated times, some of succumb to these silences and go within.” According to NDTV, the actor’s death was a huge wake-up call for Karan.
While Sushant’s death breaks our hearts, all we can do now is pray for his soul. Mental health is a serious concern. So, it is important that we start focusing on our mental well being as well.
