Mukesh Ambani Gifts Property Worth ₹1500 Crore In Posh Mumbai Locality To An Employee

We don’t expect much from our bosses. A word of appreciation here and there, maybe a pizza party or a raise after the completion of a term – most of us make small demands from the higher authority. Unless your boss is Mukesh Ambani. Imagine being the employee, or one of the most loved employees of the richest man in India. What kind of gifts would you get then? 😀

Well, we have an answer. According to Times Now, Mukesh Ambani gifted a property worth Rs 1500 crore to a long-time employee named Manoj Modi, who is considered to be the businessman’s right hand.

The multi-crore property that was gifted to the employee is not just any property. In fact, it is a 22-storey building named ‘Vrindavan’ standing at Nepean Sea Road, a premium locality in Mumbai. The rate per square foot is approximately Rs 50,000 and the total area covered by the property is 1.7 lakh square feet. Each floor is 8,000 square feet and the first 7 floors of the building are reserved for parking alone.

Who is Manoj Modi?

According to GQ, he joined Reliance Industries in the early 80s. At the time, the company was being run by the late Dirubhai Ambani. Since 2007, he is serving as the Director at Reliance Retail and Reliance Jio.

Do you remember how in 2020, Facebook bought a 9.99% stake in Reliance Jio for Rs 43 crore? That deal was facilitated by Manoj Modi who, over the years, has finalised many such multi-million dollar deals for the company.

Apparently, Mukesh Ambani and Manoj Modi have been friends since college. They both used to study Chemical Engineering at the University of Bombay and he has worked with 3 generations of the Ambanis – Dirubhai Ambani, Mukesh Ambani and now Isha, Akash and Anant Ambani.
