Dhoni’s Heartwarming Gesture Towards A 87-Year-Old Fan Speak Volumes About His Class

Apart from his exceptional qualities as a cricketer, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one man you have immense respect for. Hailed as one of the most down to earth cricketers in the Indian team, the legendary Indian skipper’s simplicity and charm have made him a hands-down favourite among the fans.

For a fact, there have been countless instances of Mahi winning the hearts of his supporters effortlessly. And you have guessed it right, the man from Ranchi has done it yet again.

MS Dhoni who recently flew to Australia to don the Indian blue for the One Day Internationals was seen sweating it out at a practice session at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Among the big crowd of Indian fans who came to watch their beloved cricketers in the nets, was an 87-year-old woman.

Identified as Edith Norman, the aged but spirited lady is a die-hard fan of MS Dhoni and was accompanied by her son.

As soon as Dhoni spotted his senior fan, he sat down for a chat with Norman. The duo also posed for some adorable pictures and wore big smiles on their faces.

Speaking to the cameramen at the SCG, Norman expressed her happiness on meeting the superstar.

“I was very lucky to meet MS Dhoni and feel very privileged and very proud.”

Her son also added a few words on his mother’s extraordinary moment.

“So it was a very special moment for someone 87-years-old enough to have seen the Bradman era to now see a current era.”

On a different note, MS Dhoni went on to reach the milestone of 10,000 runs in One Day Internationals with a gutsy half-century in the first match. Unfortunately, his efforts were not enough to earn his team a victory, this time around.
