MP Boy Steals Dad’s Rs. 46 Lakh To Gift His Friends Cash, Smartphones On Friendship Day!

After reading this story, you’re all going to want to have a friend like this guy from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, before Friendship Day next year! Then again, maybe not.

The teenage son of a builder in Jabalpur, MP, in an exaggerated spirit of friendship day, distributed Rs. 46 lakh of his father’s money amongst his friends!

The builder father had kept the large sum of money, which he received for the sale of a property, in his almirah. When he found it to be missing, he alerted the police. The police were baffled at first, since the almirah showed no signs of a break in.

However, further investigation revealed that the builder’s son had taken the cash and gone overboard with gifting some of his school friends on the occasion of friendship day!

Out of the 46 lakh, the generous teenager had gifted a lumpsum of Rs. 15 lakh to a daily wager’s son, and Rs. 3 lakh to a classmate who used to complete his homework for him!

And those weren’t the only recipients of his extravagant benevolence, mind you!

Apart from the above cash gifts, some 35 of his classmates from school and coaching class received gifts like smartphones and silver bracelets!

One of the classmates who received cash went ahead and bought a new car with that money too.

So far, the cops have managed to recover some 15 lakh of the 46 lakh that were squandered by the boy.

Not shockingly, the daily wager’s son has been missing ever since he received the gift. However, the police are trying to recover the rest.

Senior Inspector B S Tomar told TOI,

“The boy’s father has given us a list of students and we are trying to contact all of them. Parents of five students, who got the biggest shares, were summoned by the police and were told to return the money within five days. No case has been registered so far as all those involved are minors.”

Why exactly did the boy arrive upon this bizarre decision to gift away his father’s money was not revealed.

But he surely puts the rest of us friendship band tying, mugs and chocolates gifting crowd to shame! Then again, like I said before, at least our gifts aren’t stolen and later recovered by cops.
