Auctions are famous for putting up the weirdest things for sell, from dinosaur’s cheekbones to tattered copies of age old leaflets. The fact that people are willing to pay to own some of these god forsaken things, wouldn’t come to any normal person’s mind. But hey, being normal is so grossly overrated after all!

1. Britney Spears’ chewed gum
There are chewing gums. And then there are chewing gums that made a detour to some celeb’s mouth, which then get sold for thousands of bucks. A piece of chewing gum that apparently pop star Britney Spears once chewed and spat, was sold for $14,000 on eBay.

2. Virgin Mary grilled cheese sandwich
Just an old piece of toast, what’s the big deal, eh? Well, GoldenPalace.com, an online casino bought a piece of 10 years old grilled cheese sandwich which apparently has a Virgin Mary impression on it, for $28,000. Nice, no?

3. Scarlett Johansson’s used tisses
Want your boogers to earn you some money? Become a celebrity. A piece of tissue that Scarlett Johansson used to blow her nose during the talk show Tonight was sold for $5,300 on eBay.

4. John Lennon’s tooth
A dentist bought a “discoloured molar” of the Beetles singer John Lennon for £19,500.
Fun fact: the molar was originally given to his housekeeper as a gift by Lennon himself. Looks like he did know his value!

5. A piece of fruitcake served at Queen Elizabeth’s wedding
Want some fruitcake? A newly found piece from the alcohol filled fruitcake that served as the wedding cake for the royal wedding of Queen Elizabeth II with the Duke of Edinburgh was put up for auction with the bidding starting from £1,200.

The estate of bon vivant Baron Joseph ‘Sepy’ de Bicske Dobronyi put up a pair of bloomers for auction which apparently belonged to Queen Elizabeth II of England. How those went there? Nobody seems to have an answer to that.

An Australian once tried to sell the entire country of New Zealand on eBay. The bidding had reached $3000, but eBay took the ad down. Killjoys!

An “uncleaned and in its original condition” toilet commode, that allegedly belonged to the Catcher in the Rye author was put up for auction on eBay, with the bidding starting from $1 million. People clearly have hygiene issues!

9. A violin from on board the Titanic
Remember that violinist from the movie who played along with his band for the passengers of the sinking ship to calm them? Well, apparently such an incident had actually happened, and the said violin was sold for £900,000 at an auction in Wiltshire.

10. A jar containing the air Brad Pitt had breathed out
Breath of fresh air, people say. But when it comes to celebrities, even exhaled carbon dioxide has its price.But sadly, unlike other celebrity memorabilias, this one didn’t do so well, with a fan buying it for only $340.

11. A serial killers finger nails
Apparently, ‘murderabilia’ is an in thing. There are quite a few websites devoted to auctioning things that belonged murderers and serial killers, and obviously, people do buy such stuff!

Justin Timberlake once didn’t finish the french toast he was having for breakfast. It was during an interview with a DJ, who clearly had a foresight. He put that partially eaten piece of french toast up for auction on eBay and of course, a fan bought it for $3154. Fanatics, you say?

The only fate for kidney stones is to be taken out of kidney and thrown away, right? Wrong, if they come from a celebrities body! To raise money for a charity, Star Trek actor William Shatner put up his kidney stones for auction, and of course they got sold for $25,000!

14. Suri Cruise’s poop’s replica
Even before the world got to see her picture, they knew that her poop is healthy. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter’s first poop was immortalized by creating a bronze replica of it, which then was displayed in a gallery and was up for auction.
