Mom Sticks Her Finger Up A Crocodile’s Nose To Save Her 3-YO From Its Jaws

A mother is the best protection any child can ever have. Hardly any security or bodyguard will risk their own lives to save you but a mother will give no second thought and go beyond any limits for her child’s safety.

And this fact was recently proved right by Maurina Musisinyana who left her two children to play on the bank of the Runde River in Zimbabwe, reports NDTV. The kids were playing under an umbrella and their mother alongwith her sister was fishing in the river infested with crocodiles.

She suddenly heard a scream and saw the umbrella floating in the water. Gideon was in the clutches of a crocodile, reports News18. Maurina immediately jumped onto the massive reptile and stuck her fingers inside its nose blocking the crocodile’s breath. The reptile for forced to open its jaws and let go of the toddler.

“I pressed its nose hard, a tip I learned from the elders long back,” Maurina said as she went on to explain the incident. A crocodile loses its strength if one suffocates it from its nose and that is what she had put to use. “I used my other arm to free my baby’s head from its jaws,” she shared.

Her son suffered few face injuries and heavy bleeding following the crocodile attack. He was immediately admitted to a hospital. We hope, he is in good health now.
