Kids Visit ‘Mummy & Daddy’s Restaurant’ For Fine Dining Amid Lockdown, Watch Video

Numerous countries are under lockdown following the coronavirus outbreak. While adults are still trying to adapt themselves with the new lifestyle of staying home, working from home with no movies or Saturday night parties, toddlers are quite clueless. It’s indeed difficult for the parents to help their kids understand what the pandemic is, its severity and why they can’t go to school, play or have weekend outings nowadays.

Callum and Clair-Marie Macaulay, from Glasgow in the UK were facing the same issue with their kids who had no idea why they would let them go out. So the parents decided to turn their home into a 5-star restaurant for their kids, Evan and Lucas, reports The Sun.

Accordingly, the father donned the hat of head chef and the mother turned waitress as they invited their kids to ‘Mummy & Daddy’s restaurant’, reports Yahoo News.

While the siblings arrived at the restaurant dressed in smart clothes, mom-cum-waitress checked their booking and walked them to their seats. The young lads were also handed over the menus of Mexican dishes to make their culinary choices for the night. Clair then introduced the kids to the restaurant’s head chef, Callum who welcomed the boys with apple and blackcurrant wine.

The boys then ordered two drinks for each of them with Cheesy Nachos as the starter followed by the main course Quesadilla made up of ‘special Heinz salsa’ – that’s tomato ketchup.

The next on the menu was desserts. So, Evan chose to have ice cream and Lucas opted for an ice pop. After the kids were well-fed and satisfied, Evan asked for the bill. Callum presented the bill on a small dish with some complementary lollies for the kids. The mother, however, picked up the bill and tore it off and told the kids that the dinner was on their parents.

The parents, later on, shared the video of the restaurant they staged for their kids on social media. The video has garnered a lot of appreciation from all over the world.

So during this pandemic, Evan and Lucas wanted to go to a restaurant, they don’t quite understand why they can’t. – so, the rest is history. I think Clare-Marie Macaulay and I are officially losing the plot…… 🤷🏼‍♂️
