“I Went Totally Blank,” Bengaluru Molestation Victim Opens Up About Her Terrifying Ordeal

The new year’s eve in Bengaluru wasn’t one of celebration and jolly. The state ushered in the new year with deplorable acts of molestation and justification. It was sad to see that prominent figures including the Chief Minister of the state made an attempt to justify these heinous acts.

Chaitali Wasnick, one of the victims of said acts, opened up about her horrible experience and it’ll make your blood boil.

It was 1:30 am on New Year’s Eve and Ms Wasnick was just getting home from work. On the way she saw someone suspicious so she simply moved aside to let them pass.

“What happened was, he just groped me out of nowhere. I did not have any idea that he’ll do that so I went totally blank.”

After she regained composure and realised what had just happened, she charged at the culprit (who pretty much deserved what was coming).

“15 to 20 men came and tried to stop me from hitting that molester. So I was very pissed off that why this person is stopping me from that molester. And they were like ‘this is New Year, this happens so just let it be.’ “

I’m going to assume most readers have already hurled all forms of f-bombs at these pricks by now. However, I’d like to address the wider issue.

What kind of a fucked up universe are we living in where people believe that ‘it’s new year’ is a valid justification for the actions of a molester?! If that seems to be the norm at the new year parties they attend, I’d be really concerned.

If you honestly believe that such acts are an acceptable social conduct at a new year party, let me be very clear: IT’S NOT. What IS socially acceptable is to call such a person out at the same party and make him stop.
