Model Edits Pics According To Body-Shaming Trolls’ Comments To Show How Ugly ‘Perfect’ Can Be

I remember being immensely proud of this one selfie I had clicked, and sharing it across my social handles, like we all do when we’ve clicked THE perfect picture. It was all well and fine till he compliments from loved ones were pouring in. But amidst all that love, there were those critics, or shall I say trolls and shamers, who’d want to give their two pennies about my body, my flabby arms or my protruding tummy and my thunder thighs.

We’ve all been shamed for our bodies, and it is safe to say that we’ve all stood in the mirror for hours, finding at least ten things about our appearance that we’d want to change. Body positivity be damned, right? Well NO!

Chessie King, an Instagram influencer, presenter, and body positivity spreader from London, has embarked on a mission to prove to her followers that no matter what colour, shape, size you are, you’ve got to love every inch of you.

Now I know what you’d say, just look at her. She is near perfect! A model! But hey, don’t be surprised if I tell you that even Chessie suffered from major body image issues. But through healthy eating, exercise and being content with what her body type is, Chessie has managed to achieve a zen-level love for herself!

And now, she wants to show everyone that ‘perfect’ is not possible, so it’s best to love all your imperfections!

Through her #TrollingIsUgly campaign on Instagram, Chessie shows her followers that haters are gonna hate, and if you try to be ‘perfect’ according to others’ beauty standards, you’ll end up looking a distorted version of yourself instead!

To enunciate this message, Chessie shared screenshots of what trolls had been DM-ing her about her body in her Instagram pictures. She would then edit that particular part of her body to match the expectations of the trolls.

First, it was time for her waist, which if you look at it, is healthy and perfect. However, a troll didn’t think so. So Chessie had it taken in!

How many times have we heard that women who lift weights have HUGE arms? Chessie got one of those comments so she had to slim down her’s.

Next up, obviously, were her boobs. Apparently, they weren’t big enough! So of course, she went for enhancements. Umm, just the technical ones, thanks.

And what did Chessie do when someone compared her eyebrows to moustaches? She legit deleted them!

Eventually, she swapped her nose for a slimmer version and her booty got a ‘big’ upgrade as well!

That wasn’t it, BTW. She even acknowledged suggestions from trolls about her legs not being skinny enough, to her lips being barely there and her hair being lanky and oily. You’d think each suggestion that she was taking in would turn her into a masterpiece, the perfect beauty complying to popular beauty standards, right?

Well, almost. If the popular beauty standard were a distorted Barbie doll, then yes, you could say that Chessie passed with flying colours!

Yep, that’s what listening to all your critics about how your body should look like would turn you into—a scary monster.

Chessie’s appeal to everyone is simple: love yourself, and embrace all your perfect imperfections!

“Now my priority is to be happy & comfortable in my own skin, & today I appreciate my body & what it does for me. We were not made to be Barbie dolls who LOOK insanely good 24/7, we were made to be HUMAN & we should all be allowed to FEEL insanely good 24/7.”

Preach, Chessie!
